IRC Nick Time (GMT-7) Message
glock45 05:10 hi guys
linearray 14:10 taxilian_away: I took a look at mital's timer implementation. It (of course) works as advertised, but it's really a thin wrapper on top of asio.
TBPH I would probably WONTFIX FIREBREATH-1, because I feel people should use asio directly. It is simple and powerful and I think wrapping a meaningful fraction of its functionality in FB is a wasted effort.
FireBreathBot 14:10 FIREBREATH-1: Summary: Cross-platform timer abstraction.

Vaiju 15:10 I want to throw an exception in JSAPI method, which Javascript is expected to catch.
IWhen I tried it, my plugin crashed
anyone there?
linearray 15:10 how do you throw it?
Vaiju 15:10 for e.g. I have a method to check whether an IP address is valid or not
using boost
if it was invalid
throw ec.message()
in the API
where ec is the errorcode
linearray 15:10 you're throwing a C++ exception and expect javascript to catch it?
Vaiju 15:10 yes, I want that kind of functionality
I thought JSAPI exception can be caugth
I guess i am wrong
any comments?
linearray 15:10 yeah, come back tomorrow when the smart people here are back
Vaiju 15:10 ok
linearray 15:10 I don't really use javascript, so I don't know. But I think you need to throw a JS exception
not a C++ one.
ha
