Kruncher 07:10 hello guys
someone-noone 08:10 hello
taxilian 08:10 g'monring
linearray 08:10 hi all
someone-noone 08:10 how do you do all?
taxilian 08:10 tired, myself
someone-noone 08:10 i feel myself… in hard job… or smth like this :)
any news about 1.7?
taxilian 08:10 still trying to finish up 1.6
there is only one bug left that needs to be fixed
but I haven't had time to track it down yet
Raj__ 09:10 hi
taxilian 09:10 hello
Raj__ 09:10 i had few clarifications on firebreath
can we use a firebreadth dll in a c++ application
without going thru java script
taxilian 09:10 not easily
but you could embed it as an activex control
Raj__ 09:10 ok
taxilian 09:10 or write a npapi host, which sounds tricky (but I plan to do one of these days)
Raj__ 09:10 thanks for info
taxilian 09:10 yw. good luck
taxilian 10:10 okay, gotta say; the jQuery Deferred object (and that pattern in general) is pretty much the coolest thing I've learned in a long time
jshanab_wcw 11:10 Why embedd in an app? I mean what is the advantage over an html page on the desktop letting browser handle it. Or is it like the irc client I am using now, running in XULRunner so it is in it's own process
taxilian 11:10 I can think of a few potential reasons; what I'm going to try one of these days is using titanium desktop with a plugin
dunno if it'll work or not
jshanab_wcw 11:10 what about XULRunner?
taxilian 11:10 haven't ever tried using it; how well does it work on windows?
jshanab_wcw 11:10 I run ChatZilla 24x7 on windows 7 via XULrunner. I am just not sure exaclty what it is, "a mozilla runtime to run applications as rich as the browser" definition of vauge?
taxilian 11:10 huh. I dunno. on the other hand, Titanium Desktop has a lot of really nice APIs for accessing filesystem, and it's built on chrome
jshanab_wcw 11:10 Ah, they are similar
taxilian 11:10 I'll have to look at xulrunner sometime
I'm inclined to expect that Titanium is likely to be a little cleaner to set up and use
jshanab_wcw 11:10 me too. right now lunch has priority :-)
taxilian 11:10 but maybe I'm wrong
linearray 11:10 the coolest thing I discovered today is I inadvertantly set font size to 110% in visual studio
and I actually like it better that way
taxilian 11:10 lol
hold control and scroll, if I remember right
linearray 11:10 it
it's weird because that is usually overridden by Mac OS X (running VS in vmware)
but for some reason it wasnt
taxilian 11:10 hehe
linearray 11:10 ah yes... magic mouse woes... when you flick the virtual mouse wheel it will keep spinning, and when you hit ctrl then VS gets the event
quite insane
taxilian 11:10 =]
sabotaged|wk 14:10 hmm. somewhere inbetween chrome 11 and the current version of chrome, video broke on my mac plugin
it just shows a black image
anyone seen this?
taxilian 14:10 video is overrated anyway
sabotaged|wk 14:10 oh, but only for leopard
taxilian 14:10 black is the new streaming video
sabotaged|wk 14:10 yeah, i wish
snow leopard and lion are OK
taxilian 14:10 hard to say; the chrome team doesn't seem to test 10.5 much
