dr_zlo 02:10 Hey, anyone know about problems with Safari on El Capitan?
GIri 02:10 does firebreath supports activeX for chrome?
taxilian 07:10 activex for chrome, huh? lol
dr_zlo 10:10 Hello, may be I missed something. So I re-ask my question again.
Do anybody knows something about Safari issues on El Capitan?
taxilian 10:10 haven't heard anything
did you have something you wanted to share?
did you have something you wanted to share?
dr_zlo 11:10 According to my information the new OSX feature SIP (system integrity protection) is blocks plugins into Safari
taxilian 11:10 interesting; I hadn't seen that yet. Have you tried it?
dr_zlo 11:10 User could turn it off (here is described way how to do it http://totalterminal.binaryage.com/#sip), and plugin will be loaded as usual, but in this case I have issues with video rendering
taxilian 11:10 what drawing model are you using?
what drawing model are you using?
dr_zlo 11:10 DirectX
DirectX
oh, this is for windows
taxilian 11:10 ...? I'm confused. We were just talking about OSX issues, I must have missed the context switch
dr_zlo 11:10 for OSX I use opengl
for OSX I use opengl
taxilian 11:10 what drawing model are you using?
OpenGL is a technology, not a drawing model; drawing model is browser specific
I'm assuming CoreAnimation
dr_zlo 11:10 yep
or even CoreVideo
taxilian 11:10 you had me, and then you lost me. CoreVideo isn't a supported browser drawing model as far as I know
dr_zlo 11:10 seems it CoreVideo
in code I see only it, nothing for CoreAnimation

taxilian 11:10 I take it you didn't write this plugin
I take it you didn't write this plugin
dr_zlo 11:10 didn't wrote media piece
didn't wrote media piece
taxilian 11:10 just verified; CoreVideo is not a valid drawing model for an NPAPI plugin
so you're using something else, either CoreAnimation or CoreGraphics
is it a firebreath plugin?
dr_zlo 11:10 into PluginConfig.cmake I have next: set(FBMAC_USE_COREGRAPHICS 1) set(FBMAC_USE_COREANIMATION 0)
taxilian 11:10 okay, you're using CoreGraphics
that's probably a good sign
dr_zlo 11:10 I don't really worried about loosing video rendering, because users will not do triks with turning off this SIP

taxilian 11:10 valid concern. I suspect that if you can get around it, it will require sandboxing your plugin and putting it inside an app; I don't know how to do this, but I believe it is possible
if you can find out how, FireBreath can probably be updated to allow it
dr_zlo 11:10 what you mean whey saying "sandbox and putting inside an app"?
taxilian 11:10 you know how os x apps on the app store are sandboxed?
same thing
