Is there any changes as for ActiveX with FB 2.0 ?
Is there any changes as for ActiveX with FB 2.0 ?
I can't instantiate FB plugin using ActiveX - althought when I try to - plugin is visible under Tools -> Manage Add-ons
Is there some special step to use ActiveX - that is different then FB 1.7 ? --- I'm trying with IE 11 btw.
walter_ 10:04 Hi Taxilian
taxilian 10:04 'morning walter_
walter_ 10:04 hi
Could you pls answer my question as for ActiveX?
I mean - about ActiveX....
taxilian 10:04 activex hasn't been finished yet on fb2
I haven't had time
walter_ 10:04 ohh - so it doesn't work ?
taxilian 10:04 correct
correct
walter_ 10:04 damn... ok
taxilian 10:04 probably not a lot of work to get it working, but I haven't had any help on this until you started, other than a little bit from kylehuff on the loaders which helped a ton, but
just only so much I can do by myself
and we don't actually need it since we're still using our old plugin except for native messaging for now

walter_ 10:04 hehe, not exactly
taxilian 10:04 not exactly which?
walter_ 10:04 I have to change all calls to plugin in my extension - to support promise responses ;) .... That means I can't use it with FB 1.7
so - if others are using FB in all browsers - I can't see how to use FB 1.7 and 2.0 with the same code
taxilian 10:04 ours is a bit more complicated, and it was easier to do it that way
but I realize that's not normally the case
but I realize that's not normally the case
walter_ 10:04 Have you been reviewing my yesterday push?
taxilian 10:04 it's next on my list after what I'm working on now
so if you want to try to finish out the activex stuff I'll help as much as I can
walter_ 10:04 hehe, still migrating my extension to FB 2.0
hehe, still migrating my extension to FB 2.0
taxilian 10:04 well, I'm honestly probably 2-3 weeks out before I can do any activex stuff
well, I'm honestly probably 2-3 weeks out before I can do any activex stuff
so just FYI :-/
walter_ 10:04 what are your estimates? If you do ActiveX - how much time will it take?
ohh
taxilian 10:04 probably 2-4 days, I would guess
probably 2-4 days, I would guess
maybe faster
I need to remember what all needs to be done
I'm just so overcommitted on time right now it's insane
AlphaTech 13:04 For the log viewer on GitHub, is it possible to view joins, parts, quits, mode changes, nick changes or topic changes?
taxilian 14:04 AlphaTech not currently, I don't think, but it could probably be updated
which one, though? there are two, and one has not been updated in years

the ruby one is the one we currently use at logs.firebreath.org
AlphaTech 14:04 taxilian: http://github.com/firebreath/irc-logviewer
That's the one I've been looking at
Maybe I could update it to a mobile layout too
I think it's a really cool project and none of the other irc log html things on GitHub look this nice
taxilian 14:04 yeah, that one is the old one
yeah, that one is the old one
the new one is much better in most ways
nobody has maintained that one in a long time
AlphaTech 14:04 taxilian: Cool, where's the new one?
