taxilian 15:03 I figured
if you wanted to branch out you could try getting the rest buliding =]
kylehuff 15:03 yeah, I already started poking around earlier in the week. I had lots of time waiting to build fbtestplugin on windows, just for it not to work... still...
taxilian 16:03 =]

taxilian 19:03 kylehuff: this native messaging extension is giving me a headache. Inject a script into the page which talks via DOM messaging to a content script which talks via extension messaging to the background script which talks via native messaging to the native message host which talks via a string C interface to FireBreath...
kylehuff 19:03 I literally lol'd halfway through reading that
taxilian 19:03 I wish I were exagerating
even a little
kylehuff 19:03 what is so funny, is that you aren't joking.
taxilian 19:03 that's literally the architecture
that's literally the architecture
it is taking far longer than it should for me to get this all together
just because there are *so* many layers
and the only one that is really simple is the background script
kylehuff 19:03 well, is there anything I can do to help?
well, is there anything I can do to help?
taxilian 19:03 probably not, unfortunately :-/ unless you want to try some pair programming, but I think it might take longer to explain what everything is than it will to figure it out myself

kylehuff 19:03 probably.
that reminds me, I should be finishing the OSX build of the NativeMessaginHost this weekend, then moving on to building on OSX/Linux. at some point, I'm going to need some guidance on the next most critical task(s).
taxilian 19:03 hopefully by then I'll have this working and the next most critical task will be testing it
honestly at that point I'm not sure what the next most critical thing is... possibly activex, though someone else is trying to work on that
I'm not sure how far he's gotten
I'm not sure how far he's gotten
kylehuff 19:03 okay, fair enough. I'm off. g'night
