IRC Nick Time (GMT-7) Message
taxilian 09:03 FireBreath 2.0 is building and communicating with the browser asynchronously in both directions!
this is huge because it means I can now start working on FireWyrm
dcherman 09:03 what's FireWyrm?
ah, just saw the firebreath-dev post
taxilian 10:03 most immediately it will be native client support =]
taxilian 11:03 everything is asynchronous now; that should make it possible, should we decide to do this, to support npapi, webrtc, web sockets, ajax, native messaging, js-ctypes, ....
pretty much any of the above
pretty much any of the above
ambreen 14:03 I want to run npBasicMediaPlayer
taxilian 14:03 that's a shame, really =]
ambreen 14:03 plugin from the examples but the test pages shows no plugin loaded
taxilian 14:03 what platform?
ambreen 14:03 Mac OS X
and Chrome 41
and Chrome 41
taxilian 14:03 okay; you realize that at best it's just an example of different drawing models at this point?
ambreen 14:03 yes, actually I want to run the mediaplayer plugin to do some comparison
Or any plugin that does video playback or capture/playback
taxilian 14:03 to be honest, it hasn't been updated in awhile so it's hard to say if it really still works
to be honest, it hasn't been updated in awhile so it's hard to say if it really still works
it doesn't actually do any video playback
it doesn't actually do any video playback
never has on mac os
it started out as a media player example but wasn't maintained and was hijacked as a drawing model example on mac some time ago
ambreen 14:03 Ok well then is there an NPAPI plugin that can do camera capture and playback that I can just use
otherwise I will have to figure out how to make one using NPAPI

taxilian 14:03 do you need the source?
ambreen 14:03 compiled plugin would be nicer :)
taxilian 14:03 downloads.gradecam.com
it doesn't save but it will show video from your camera
that's the plugin I work on (GradeCam)
ambreen 14:03 ok thanks
ok thanks
That seems to workm thanks a bunch!
taxilian 14:03 of course it works... it's my plugin ;-)
ambreen 14:03 I'm disconnecting from here so i can only run one chrome helper process
taxilian 14:03 FireBreath 2 is on the horizon, though, and that will complicate a lot of things. Chrome next month will lose support for NPAPI
ambreen 14:03 lol ok, you saved the day!
I'm aware of chrome not supporting NPAPI
