Hey Firebreath! I noticed that the irc-logviewer on GitHub is lacking a LICENSE file. Is it okay for you if I use it as a public log viewer? I've made some changes (like adding hashtag query strings, which was on your TODO, and changing the code to be compatible with ZNC's directory structure) and would be happy to share my changes with you :-)

you're welcome to use it; we don't use it anymore

Great, thanks!

It seemed so useful with search functionality and all
While I'm here, is it okay if I log this channel on there as well?

I'm not really good at Ruby, though, and haven't set it up on the server. I think I'll stick with PHP for now, but thanks for letting me know about it

Hm. I might adapt that style set onto PHP. It looks really nice.
Thanks, by the way

I think it uses elasticsearch or something similar for indexing; trying to remember how that was done
I didn't actually write it, one of our contributors did

what project are you with that you want to log your irc room?
|
bilde2910 |

I'm on a ZNC bouncer, so am on 24/7. I was thinking I could set up a public log server for the channels I'm in, as long as I've got their permissions to do so
It's useful for looking up old conversations and things

I use one as well
agreed =]
that's exactly how I use this, though I only log my channels

Ok. Thought I might be taking away credit. I'll figure something out.
|
taxilian |
10:01 |
nah. I don't think anyone cares about credit on that project anymore. Put a link to the github repo somewhere or something, that'll be enough
