Pitchai 14:05 @taxilian.Is it possible to implement dispatch interface in firebreath?
taxilian 14:05 what type of dispatch interface?
you mean idispatch?
Pitchai 14:05 yes. I am implementing a COM interface
it contains some events and receive them on firebreath
i have the tlb file
The interface contains the events are the dispinterface and not the dual interface...
taxilian 14:05 look at COMJavascriptObject
we already provide a IDispatchEx wrapper around JSAPI objects
we have to in order to send it back
so yes, it is. I'm in a meeting right now, though, so I'll be AFK for awhile

I will be back later today, maybe soon maybe not

Pitchai 14:05 so it is possible? I am breaking my head for three days...
taxilian 14:05 it's absolutely possible
there is already code that creates it
and I just told you where to look
now whether or not it will do exactly what you need, I don't know, but it's absolutely an IDispatchEx element and supports connectionpoints
Pitchai 14:05 thank u so much taxilian....
Actually I have to receive events when a key is pressed from mike... They provide a tlb file and a dll to register
taxilian 14:05 you are trying to use this from inside a firebreath plugin?
soryr, I have to go to lunch with my team; I'll talk to you later, will be at least an hour or two
but if that's what you're trying to do is *use* a COM component, it can definitely be done but might be a pain
and I can't help much
