hi , does FB support printing ?
dougma 07:03 no i don't think so.
but i haven't tried.
I do remember IE changed its print model along the way... such that plugins no longer have to do anything special to get printed
taxilian 22:03 dougma: I don't suppose you have an example of how to use your new async drawing stuff to draw a simple pixel buffer to the screen?

(I really want this for selfish reasons, not for the project; don't stress if you don't. I'd love to convert our drawing to use this)
dougma 22:03 No. Its not simple. As far as I can tell doing more than clearing the buffer requires dragging in a whole bunch of dependencies...
Npapi has an additional async mode which deals in bitmaps so you could use regular GDI on that I guess.
taxilian 22:03 I suspected as much :-/
dougma 22:03 I haven't implemented that mode yet...
taxilian 22:03 problem is I don't really have time to figure out what the code would be to do that with directx, but I suspect it'd be faster. right now we're just using GDI to blit to the hDC

'course, all I'm doing is drawing a video stream, so it's not really that big of a deal
just would be cool =]
dougma 22:03 I'm planning to change the drawing in my plugin too. :)
taxilian 22:03 well, if you ever get a working example that might let me do what I want and you don't mind sharing, let me know =]

there you go =]
dougma 22:03 Brilliant. :)
Yes so I'm still keen to make a richer example.
Now I can. :)
