mik141 15:01 hi, i'm facing a problem with two 32 and 64bit versions of plugin installed. Because ff and ie (32 and 64bit) works fine, but chrome is trying to load 64bit version and fails i never tries to load the 32bit? what could be a reason of this behaviour?
taxilian 16:01 mik141 hey you're still here this time
which platform are you on?
mik141 16:01 windows 64bit
taxilian 16:01 I haven't actually used the 64 bit firefox or chrome on windows much, since they don't (or didn't last I heard) install by default
most people on windows just do a 32 bit plugin and don't worry about 64 bit as very few people need it
mik141 16:01 as i heard there is no 64bit firefox
taxilian 16:01 you have to build it from source
I don't know of any 64 bit chrome either
but maybe that's changed recently
mik141 16:01 yes, there is only ie 64bit
yes, there is only ie 64bit
taxilian 16:01 okay
mik141 16:01 IE9 for sure, dont know if 10, (but sure that there is no 64bit ie11)
taxilian 16:01 so if you install the 32 bit version, should work fine?
mik141 16:01 IE9 for sure, dont know if 10, (but sure that there is no 64bit ie11)
taxilian 16:01 pretty sure there is a 64 bit ie11
mik141 16:01 32bit version is fine
32bit version is fine
taxilian 16:01 okay; I'm not understanding your problem, then
okay; I'm not understanding your problem, then
mik141 16:01 but my users sometimes use 64bit IE
but my users sometimes use 64bit IE
and if there is only 32bit plugin
taxilian 16:01 you can install both on the same system, but you need to make sure that they install to a different filename and location
and you might need to make them different identifiers (in PluginConfig.cmake)
mik141 16:01 yes
but i'm not sure if i have to do it
as i analyze flash plugin - there is one identifier
taxilian 16:01 not sure. you'll definitely have to have two filenames, though
not sure. you'll definitely have to have two filenames, though
